I will check that out. That might be a good one to go to. It's going to be 95 degrees this weekend, not _sure I want to race in that heat. OMG

-Short Course – 80 minutes
B Short White/Black # 11-99 Any
+50 Black/White # 100-199 50 and older
C Yellow/Black # 200-299 Any
C +30 Yellow/Black # 300-399 30 and older
C +40 Yellow/Black # 400-499 40 and older

This is my first time there. Most of my family on my Dads side live near lockwood,So I thought this would be a good one for me. lots of support. Usually I'm by myself or 1 or 2 friends.
Here is a description of the course. You can also find it on the MORE website , just click RECON .

We will be running the big track in the reverse direction of the 2011 event and in addition to the direction change, we have made some course changes as well. We tried to get rid of most of the open fields (that were littered with rocks that came up during the weekend) and cut some fresh trails to keep the course in the trees instead. Slower = Safer = Better.

The course starts off with some quick paced jeep-style trails for a mile or so before tightening up a little. This should give the racers some time to get sorted out and provide some passing opportunities.

After a couple of miles, there is a Long Course only section (red arrows) that will only be raced on Sunday afternoon. It is a bit tighter than the rest of the trail and has a new uphill creek section along with some fresh cut. That section is about a mile long. From there, the courses merge together again (Long and Short) and head out for the remaining few miles.

There are a couple of field sections that have rocks in them. Please pay attention. We have moved a lot of the rocks, brush hogged paths across the fields, weed-eated, and painted many of the rocks orange. More rocks will come up as the weekend progresses, so just pay attention in the open stuff.

The course has been getting rain over the last few weeks, unlike much of the state. On Tuesday (June 19) there were sections in the trees that had puddles. What this means is that the course is going to be in great shape come race weekend. This place is better when it’s wetter and it is quite moist right now. Big smiles!

As usual:

Red arrows = Long Course

Blue arrows = Short Course

Both of these courses will have blue and pink ribbon

Orange arrows = Pee Wee/Ladies course

The 50 course has green ribbon while the 65/85/Ladies sections have purple ribbon

10 MPH maximum speed ANYWHERE except the race track

Do not get on the race track when the red flag is displayed

Bring your helmet to sign up

You do NOT have to wait until the awards ceremony to pick up your award

Have fun, enjoy your weekend, and if you have any questions or comments, look for a blue MORE Staff shirt wearer.

RE: Moore Racing sreies
Mikey, Looks like its a go on this race. I really want to try the Moore series and give Dean and David Rogers a little competition. Rick would be hard to catch so I will try to pace Dean. Going to have to get front brakes for the berg down at the KTM shop across town.
Lets see if we can get it togehter for this race. fore Boxer
